Quality Assurance Details

PVB-PP:  Pre-production inspection
Although there has been a commodification of solar modules in the past decade, no 2 brands of modules are alike. Latent defects in modules can be caused by either the raw materials used in the production process, or flaws or lack of quality control in the production process itself. For Pre-Production Inspection, PVBuyer reviews the quality of the raw materials used in production: EVA, Backsheets, Adhesives, Glass, Cells, etc. We also review the manufacturing process itself to make sure the proper quality control procedures are in place AND being followed precisely on the factory floor.

PVB-FF: Factory manufacturing process monitoring and inspection
PVBuyer will dispatch experienced PV Quality Engineers to the module factory to monitor the production of our client’s order. Before production begins, our engineers will carefully review the quality controls in place. Once production is started, our engineers will monitor the production process closely to make sure the quality controls are being followed 100%.

PVB-PS: 3rd Party pre-shipment inspection and testing at pre-port warehouse after manufacturing
PVBuyer will arrange a 3rd Party Inspection at the manufacturer’s warehouse in Asia to spot check for any defects before the product is shipped out. If any defects are uncovered, PVBuyer will work to get these modules replaced immediately before shipping and while they are still under the manufacturer’s title.

PVB-US: Post-shipment quality and reliability testing at USA labs
PVBuyer can arrange post shipment quality and reliability testing at labs in the US. This allows us to make a final quality review of the modules before the product is warehoused and staged for delivery to the client’s warehouse or project jobsite.
